New Beginningsis designed especially to respond to the unique challenges and concerns of youth in grades 6-8. It was created by adults and young people to help participants grow in their love of themselves, others and our Lord Jesus Christ. During the weekend, participants meet peers from across the diocese, enjoy skits, listen to talks, and participate in small group activities and discussions. These activities focus on self, friends, parents, siblings, school, God's love, prayer and the church. Free time is built in for youth to have an opportunity to fellowship with their newfound friends. Participants of New Beginnings may attend as many weekends as they choose throughout their middle school years. Participants do not have to be Episcopalian, but must be recommended through an Episcopal Church. Participants do not need a sponsor for the weekend; there will be adults on team to help supervise the weekend.
New Beginnings is scheduled for November 9 - 11, 2018
Happening!is a Christian experience presented by teenagers for teenagers. It is designed for youth in grades 10-12 and sponsored by the Episcopal Church. Most young people have serious questions about Jesus and the Church. Happening is designed to address these questions. During a Happening weekend, participants experience the love of Christ as shown through prayer, worship, and the ministry of peers, clergy, and lay adults. The Happeners are encouraged to make their renewed faith a apart of their everyday lives. Happening shows how Christianity can keep pace with the many changes in our lives and our world. April 28, 6:00 pm - April 30, 5:00 pm Cost:$125 and is held at Camp Wingmann.
